It is almost my birthday (May 25th) and I am pretty excited. I am so excited I took the whole off from work to celebrate it. I am not even kidding. A week long, I am just going to do whatever I want to do and eat whatever I want to ear. Of course, when it is your birthday, it is likely that you will receive some gifts. I love receiving (and giving) gifts. To be honest, I already have everything I need. But I still decided to make a birthday wishlist, because I love making (wish)lists.

Birthday Wishlist

As you can see, my birthday wishlist this year is not so long or big.

1. Coloring books: I love these kinds of coloring books! The pages are cute and not too complicated—I like simplicity. You can find tons of them on Amazon, and I’m obsessed.
2. Books: I love reading, so any book or even a book gift card is always a great gift.
3. CD Rosie: I absolutely love Rosé’s voice. I’ve been a fan since the beginning of BLACKPINK, and I was so happy when she released a full album. Her voice is just so angelic.
4. CD Gracie Abrams: I listen to this album all the time on Spotify and would love to add a physical copy to my CD collection. My rule for CDs is that I only buy them if I truly love the whole album—and I still listen to this one months later.
5. Animal Crossing: I know a few people who have this game on the Nintendo Switch, and I’m obsessed. It was super popular during the pandemic, so I’m a bit late to the trend—but I wanted to be sure I wouldn’t get bored of it quickly!
6. Nintendo Switch 2: This new version comes out about a week and a half after my birthday. I’ve wanted a Nintendo Switch for over a year, so I’ve decided to wait a little longer and go for the upgraded version.
7. Tiered Skirt: These skirts are all over social media right now! I love the look, but I’ve never found the one in stores or thrift shops. I saw only one at Primark once, but it was see-through—so I passed. I don’t love shopping online, so this is still on my list.
8. Essence Orange Nail polish: I always do my nails myself and love using Essence nail polish. It’s super affordable and lasts a long time. My orange bottle is empty now, so I’d love a new one.

Hello there! Next Saturday (25th May) and I am super excited, although I don’t have any specific plans besides eating apple pie. But I have made a birthday wishlist because I love making (wish)lists and of course, I am getting those ‘what do you want for your birthday?’ questions. Now I just can simply share this blog post. This year’s wishlist is a mix of everything, to be honest. A lot of beauty products that I would like to try and some things I need for my house.

My Birthday Wishlist

1. Scrunchies. I love scrunchies and it is something I use every day. I try not to lose but sometimes it happens. So new scrunchies are always welcome.
2. Guess Red Seductive Perfume. I tried this one time when I was at the store and now I can’t stop thinking about it. It smells great.
3. Scrub. My older face scrub is almost empty so I need a new one. So asking a new one for my birthday is a smart idea.
4. Toiletry bag. I don’t have one but I want to go travelling soon and I guess I need one. This one looks very pretty and cute.
5. Face masks. Every Sunday I like to take time for myself. I paint my nails and I love to do face masks as well.
6. Sunscreen for the face. This is something I need because my older is empty and currently I am using a regular sunscreen for my face, but I think it is better to use a sunscreen specific for my face.
7. Vase. I want to buy flowers more often and I need a vase for it.
8. Body Cream. This is a Sol de Janeiro dupe and the price difference is huge. 

1. The Tortured Poets Department. The new album by Taylor Swift. I really want to start listening LP’s again.
2. Candles. I am obsessed with cute candles.
3. Mirror. This is an Ikea mirror and I really liked this one. I don’t have a full-length mirror and this one looks really nice and simplistic.
4. Plants. Someone can never have enough plants.
5. Record Player. I used to have one, but it was a very old one (from the last century) and now I would love to have one again.
6. Flowers. Because I love flowers and it is always a perfect birthday gift.

1. Kitchen Utensils set. This has been on my wishlist for a while now, so now I am also asking for it for my birthday.
2. Ankle boots. I love ankle boots. These days I always wear sneakers, but I would love to own a pair of ankle boots again.
3. Sunglasses. The sun is currently shining a lot and a pair of sunglasses is necessary when I am on my way.
4. Essence Nail polish Gold. I don’t own a gold nail polish and I think this is the right time to buy one. This will be perfect for festival and other parties.
5. Backpack. I just like this backpack a lot.
6. Headphones. Heard so many good reviews about these apple headphones and they look pretty good as well. Pretty expensive though, but one person can dream right?
7. White sneakers. As I mentioned above, I wear a lot of sneakers and I kind of love white sneakers. It is hard to keep them clean, but they look pretty.

1. Spa Day at Home Treat yourself to a luxurious spa day. Light some candles, play soothing music, and pamper yourself with a facial, manicure, and a long, relaxing bath. You deserve it! And go all in and take your time for it. Take time to paint your nails, scrub your body, and wash your hair.
2. Adventure Time Is there a place you’ve always wanted to visit or an activity you’ve wanted to try? Today is the perfect day to explore a new hiking trail, visit a museum, or take a day trip to a nearby town. Sometimes you can get even a discount if you’re going to a museum or cinema on your birthday. So it is a win-win situation.
3. Culinary Extravaganza Cook your favorite meal or bake that cake you’ve been eyeing on Pinterest. If cooking isn’t your thing, order from that fancy restaurant you’ve been wanting to try. Dining alone means no judgment—eat dessert first if you want! Eat all of your favorite meals (and put the leftovers in the fridge, so you have your favorite meals for at least two days).
4. Movie Marathon Pick a theme—like all the Harry Potter movies, a bunch of rom-coms, or classic films—and dive into a movie marathon. Snuggle up with your favorite snacks and enjoy. Or watch your favorite tv-show of course. Maybe you just want to rewatch all Bridgerton episodes again. Or maybe you want to bring back good memories and watch your favorite movies from your childhood.
5. Creative Project Get Crafty! Start that art project, write in your journal, or take up a new hobby. Engaging in creative activities can be incredibly fulfilling and fun. Buy yourself an ukulele and start learning how to play it. Start writing things for yourself.
6. Virtual Hangout If you miss your friends and family, set up a virtual hangout. Video calls, online games, or a Netflix Party can make you feel connected even when you’re alone. This way you can still have lunch/dinner together or watch the same movie at the same time.
7. Bookworm Bliss Dive into a good book. Spend your day lost in another world, perhaps with a cozy blanket and a hot cup of tea or coffee by your side. But of course, first, you have to spend at least an hour in your favorite bookstore to find the perfect book (or two).
8. Self-Care Routine Take the day to focus on self-care. This could mean meditating, doing yoga, journaling, or simply napping. Listen to your body and mind, and give them what they need. Maybe you’ve always wanted to start meditating, this is the perfect moment to start doing it. A year older = a new you.
9. Retail Therapy Treat yourself to a shopping spree, whether online or in-store. Buy something special that you’ve been eyeing for a while—today’s the day to splurge a little. For my upcoming birthday, I made a wishlist of things I really want. I don’t expect to get everything, so I will definitely buy myself something nice as well.
10. Reflect and Plan Spend some time reflecting on the past year and setting goals for the next. Write down your achievements, what you’re grateful for, and what you hope to accomplish by your next birthday. Make a vision board so it reminds you of the things you want to achieve.
