Culpa Tuya

In Culpa Mia, we watched Noah and Nick fall for each other fast. The catch? They’re stepsiblings, which made things super awkward when their parents found out—and let’s just say, they weren’t exactly thrilled.

Now in Culpa Tuya, the drama gets even messier. Nick promised Noah he was done with the wild stuff—no more street racing, no more fights, no more drugs. He’s even working at his dad’s company, trying to keep it together. Meanwhile, Noah’s starting college and the two are still completely in love. But their parents? They’re not giving up on splitting them up.

Here’s the kicker: Nick’s parents hire a new lawyer and surprise—his new coworker is gorgeous. They’re hoping Nick will get distracted and move on. On the flip side, Noah is meeting new people at school, including some potential love interests of her own. So… will their love survive all the chaos, or is this the beginning of the end?

Review

When I watched Culpa Mia a few months ago, I went in with pretty low expectations. I wasn’t expecting much, but wow—I loved it. It had everything: forbidden romance, action, and a ton of drama. Every moment kept me hooked. Now, Culpa Tuya? I have to admit, it didn’t blow me away quite like the first movie did. Maybe it’s because my expectations were higher this time around. Still, it was fun to watch, and there’s plenty to talk about.

First off, let’s get the obvious out of the way: it’s in Spanish, and honestly, that alone makes it ten times better. Spanish just sounds so sexy, no matter what they’re saying. (Side note: Italian has the same effect on me!) So yeah, automatic bonus points for the language.

The movie still delivers on the action—though there’s definitely less street racing this time—and it has its share of intense, even disturbing moments. Noah’s new roommate? Absolutely unhinged. And Michael, the new guy? I don’t trust him one bit. But I guess we’ll get more answers in the next movie because surprise—it’s based on a trilogy by Mercedes Ron. So there’s at least one more movie coming, especially since this one ended on a bit of a cliffhanger.

The cast? Still gorgeous. Like, ridiculously gorgeous. And bonus points because Noah and Nick adopted a kitten from the shelter. A KITTEN. My cat-loving heart melted.

Now, let’s address the hate this movie’s been getting on IMDb. A lot of people called it a waste of time, and yeah, I’ll agree the first movie was way better. Sure, the characters make some questionable, childish decisions—like kissing someone just to make the other jealous. That’s annoying, no doubt. But honestly? That’s the only thing that really bugged me.

With Culpa Mia, those two hours flew by. I didn’t even notice the time. With Culpa Tuya, I struggled a little more to stay engaged. I had to focus because I don’t speak Spanish, so I have to read the subtitles.

Overall? Yeah, the first movie was more exciting and fun, but I’ve definitely seen worse movies this year. And let’s be real—after watching the first one, I’m too invested now. I have to know what happens next. I might even read the books because, according to IMDb reviews, a lot from the books didn’t make it into the movies.

So yeah, bring on the next movie—I’m ready for more drama!
