Jamie is a woman who loves horror and romance movies. One night, she attends a speed-dating event with her best friend, Laurie. There are 10 guys and 10 women, and everything seems completely normal. Some of the guys are terrible, while others are great. But then, during date number six, the lights go out, and Jamie can’t see a thing. When the lights come back on, several people are dead.

There is no escape. The building is like a maze, and there is a serial killer somewhere inside, so you can’t trust anyone. Together with her best friend, Jamie is now trying to survive the night and hoping that someone will come to help them.

This is the first time I’ve read a book in this genre. I had absolutely no idea that these kinds of books existed. I have to admit that I’m not the biggest fan of horror, and I usually try to avoid it. But this book didn’t sound like it was going to be too scary. I mean, it’s literally a mix of horror and romance.

Honestly, this book was pretty interesting. The plot was definitely unique. Jamie goes to a speed-dating event where there are 10 guys and 10 women, and one of them is a serial killer. That sounded kind of fun, if you ask me. There were quite a few plot twists, so you never really knew what was going to happen. But at the same time, I immediately suspected two people, and one of them actually turned out to be the killer. So, even though there were plot twists, it was also a little predictable.

The story was a mix of horror and rom-com, which was something I had never read before. There were some funny moments, and then, the next moment, the serial killer would kill another person. It was such a strange mix of emotions. But I couldn’t stop reading it. It kept me awake, although I’m still not sure if that was because of the tension or because I just wanted to find out what was going to happen next.

The characters were okay. Jamie is definitely the main character in this story because she watches a lot of horror movies and knows what they need to do to survive the night. Of course, some of the characters were dumb enough not to listen and basically got themselves killed.

Jamie was also a little weird, if I’m being honest. I mean, she was literally trying to survive a serial killer, and she was thinking about how good-looking and attractive another guy was. She was horny. That was just crazy. And it wasn’t just one single thought, she was basically horny all night.

Overall, it was a fun and interesting book. It was the first slasher rom-com I’ve ever read, but I don’t think it will be the last. I had a great time reading this book.
