Love Her or Lose Her
Rosie and Dominic have been married for ten years now. They used to be high school sweethearts. But one night after work Rosie comes home and realizes that this relationship isn’t a relationship anymore. The two still have a lot of chemistry and Passion but the rest is just gone. They don’t talk anymore. He is a great provider and he is faithful, but Rosie wants more. Her best friends are always saying that you have to follow your heart and dreams and that is what Rosie wants to do. Rosie leaves, which opens Dominic’s eyes. He is willing to do everything to win her back because he can’t imagine a life without her. Even when that means they have to do couples therapy, his biggest nightmare.
Review
I think this might be one of the few romance books I’ve ever read that starts with two main characters who are already married to each other. At first, I thought Rosie was going to find a new love, maybe the guy she met at the store in the first chapter. But that doesn’t happen. It is really about Rosie and Dominic trying to save their marriage. They still love each other and they are willing to fight for their relationship.
I have read other books by Tessa Bailey and I have to admit that most of the time I think that there is just too much spice in her books. At least, in the ones I’ve read before the spice was too much. A little bit of spice is fine, but too much can kill the story in my opinion. So I was surprised to find out that there was less spice in this one. Okay, this might have a reason, because their therapist recommends not to have sex at all. I think this is the first time that I sort of enjoyed a book by Tessa Bailey.
I thought this book was pretty good. A relationship is more than just good sex. It is about communication and other things. I loved to read about love languages as well. One person needs to be touched (in a non-sexual way as well), another person needs actions (like doing things for each other) and another person needs words. I thought that part of the book was interesting. It made me think about what I need.
Overall, I think this was my favorite book by Tessa Bailey so far. She might not be my favorite author. But I kind of liked this book by her. There is still a bit of spicy parts, but it is not too much. Just the right amount. Also, if you want to read this book, I would recommend the first book in this series. Love her or Lose her is the second book and I started with this one because I never check if a book is a part of a book series. You can still read it as a stand-alone but I would recommend reading ‘Fix her up’ first. The characters of the first book also appear in this book, so it just makes more sense tor read that one first.
