Review
This book was recommended by many people online and it was time to find out if the hype is really worth it or if I wouldn’t like it. I had no idea what this book or series was about before I started reading it. I prefer it that way. Makes it more fun to read.
I always start with the positive feedback. This book was so good. I really enjoyed it and it was extremely hard to put it down, even when I really had to. At the same time, it was very dark, but I kind of enjoyed it. The story was great, the writing style was amazing and it never got really boring. It was one of those books I wanted to finish before putting it down. Unfortunately, I did not have the time for that and I had to put it down halfway through. But I think I finished it in just two nights. Most of the time when I finish a book in one or two days, it is a really good book.
I liked Ava’s character. She was a happy, and very positive person. And she is the opposite of Alex, who is very negative and not in the mood for happy things. Very interesting considering they both went through a lot as kids. They both have trauma. This shows everyone is dealing with it in their own way.
But I am so happy that this is just a book and not real because I really saw red flags everywhere when it came to Alex’s character. Not just because he is negative, although I prefer to stay away from very negative people, it was because he was messed up. He wanted to get revenge on the person who killed his family. Which is understandable, but he was willing to kill. His thoughts were dark. The things he did, said, or thought were not okay. I was wondering what Ava saw in Alex. He was very controlling and he knew people everywhere, even in the government. It was like he was in the mafia or something. I’m so glad Alex is just a fictional character.
But even though Alex was creepy as shit, I still think in a weird (or twisted) way that this book was great. I enjoyed every single bit of it. It was a complete mindfuck. It was nothing like the most
