Fall is the season for so many reasons, and I’m here to gush about why it’s my absolute favorite. I mean, don’t get me wrong—I love summer with its beach days and sunshine, but let’s be real: I am over-sweating 24/7. Enter fall: where everything feels just right. And if you don’t like fall that much, maybe I can still convince you that fall has it’s own charms with this blog post.
Things I love about Fall
Fall Fashion is the Best, Period
Let’s start with the clothes. Fall colors? They were made for me. Deep greens, burgundy, mustard yellow, burnt orange—they just work. I get to pull out my cozy sweaters, stylish boots, and cute jackets. And can we talk about layers? Fall is where fashion thrives. I love bundling up without feeling like I’m trapped under a thousand layers of winter gear. Fall lets you look cute AND feel comfy—a win-win. Fall is also my favorite season to shop because it is easier for me to find outfits in colors that actually suit me.
Cozy Season: Activated
Blankets, fuzzy socks, oversized hoodies—yes, yes, and YES. There’s something about fall that just screams, “Get cozy!” Whether it’s wrapping myself in a blanket burrito, sipping on a hot drink, or lounging with a good book, I am here for it. I get to nestle in and really enjoy being comfortable. As soon as I come home in the evening after work, I change immediately into comfy clothes and throw myself under a blanket.
Nature Walks Are Extra Magical
Taking a walk in the fall is like stepping into a postcard. The crisp air, the crunchy leaves under my feet, and the explosion of colors all around—it’s so peaceful. Fall gives me all the cozy nature vibes, and nothing feels better than a peaceful walk surrounded by golden trees. Plus, it’s cool enough that I’m not turning into a sweaty mess like in the summer. It is so nice to get some fresh air and enjoy all the beautiful colors in fall.
Fall Reading Vibes
Something about fall makes me want to read even more. It might be the chill in the air, the slower pace, or just the fact that curling up with a blanket and a book is perfection right now. I love grabbing a hot drink and losing myself in a good story. Fall is like a big, warm hug for book lovers. Since the moment it got colder, I have been reading a lot more. During the summer months, I read four books per month on average and in September I doubled it. Even I was impressed with myself.
Hot Drinks, Please, and Thank You
Speaking of hot drinks—this is the season for all things warm and yummy. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, apple cider… I’ll take them all. There’s something so comforting about holding a steaming mug when it’s chilly outside. Summer iced drinks are great, but fall? Fall is where the magic happens. It is actually so nice to come home from work, a trip to the store, or a walk, and know you can warm yourself up with a nice cup of tea or hot chocolate (my favorites).
Baking Season is in Full Swing
Fall also kicks off the baking season, and I am so ready for it. It’s the perfect excuse to try new recipes (hello, cinnamon everything), bake some cookies, and make the house smell like a cozy bakery. There’s just something so comforting about turning on the oven and whipping up something sweet when the weather cools down. Plus, fall food is the coziest—hearty soups, apple pies, cinnamon everything. What’s not to love?
So yeah, summer is fun, but fall? Fall is a vibe. Cozy clothes, hot drinks, and cool weather without the sweat? Sign me up every time.
