Review
This is the fourth book of the Windy City book series by Liz Tomforde and I’ve read them all this year. I am sort of obsessed with these books. They are easy to read, and fun, and the men in these books are just wonderful. Another reason why I love reading these books is that their group of friends/family is getting bigger and bigger and it also feels like I am a part of it. I just love it.
Okay, I have to be honest and say that I was a little bit disappointed when I finished the last book. Not because it was bad or anything. But I really wanted to read Rio’s story. But it was time for Isaiah’s story. Honestly, this might be my favorite book in the series so far. I know that Rio’s story is coming next and I have high expectations for that one. But for now, this might be my favorite.
I love that the male main characters in these books are all tough and cool, but on the inside, they are just sweet. They really listen to their girlfriends, they pay attention and they are just perfect. Okay, nobody is perfect, but you get the point. They are so dreamy.
Kennedy has issues with intimacy because of her last relationship. That man was a shitty man and Isaiah took his time to make sure she was okay with hugging, kissing, and all that. He took it slow. Isaiah has his own struggles because every time it storms he has to make sure that everyone he cares about is okay. He lost his mother in a storm and every time it storms, he feels anxious.
These books are perfect for when you are in a reading slump because they always make me excited to read a little more. If you don’t like spice, these are not the books for you though. But if you don’t have issues with reading spice, then these are the books I would recommend. Because the mail main characters are pretty dreamy. The books are easy to read, you don’t even notice how big the books are. They are all around 400 pages but before you even realize it, you finished the book. You just don’t want to stop reading.
Who would have thought I would be ready for so many sports romance novels this year? But of all those books, these are my favorites, so if you want to read a sports romance, this is the book I would recommend. Although, I would recommend starting with book number one: Mile High. That book has a lot more spice if I remember it correctly. It might also be my least favorite of this series but it was still great.
