Review
Another RomCom movie on Netflix and I am so grateful for that. Sometimes I feel like Netflix barely produces romantic movies and series anymore. They create more action and science fiction in my opinion. So I was extremely happy to see they created a new romcom movie. Over the last couple of years, I saw a few Netflix Original Romance movies; honestly, they weren’t always that good. The one I really liked was ‘Set it up’. That movie was great. But other movies I’ve seen on Netflix were not so good, sometimes it was just hard to watch.
But I am happy to tell you that this movie was pretty good. It came close to ‘Set it up’. I liked the group of friends, all of the characters were likable. Funny enough, I thought Liza Koshy was sort of stealing the show for me. I loved her vibe and all. But the others were great too. They are good actors.
I love New York and this movie takes place in New York City, so I obviously liked the setting in the movie. And some parts of the movie were shot at the office and I have some questions about that. One, they were at the office, but I did not really see them working. Why does Mack work from home? And also so many questions about Little, is he looking for a job or not? Is he still a student?
I liked the story a lot. They were each other’s wingman basically. becausehey were helping each other to score. They have each other’s back. But when Mack is ready to be in a serious relationship, they are there for her as well. Funny enough, suddenly everyone goes from wanting to be single to wanting to be in a relationship. But I love their friendship. They support each other no matter what and have lots of fun.
I really enjoyed watching this movie. The actors were good, and the setting was great and the story was amazing. I can highly recommend this movie if you are looking for a fun and good rom-com movie. I also hope that Netflix (and maybe other streaming services) will make more of these higher-quality rom-com movies. That is exactly what I need and I am sure I am not the only one who loves these kinds of movies. The movie didn’t let me down at all. I wanted to give it 5/5 hearts, but then I realized that there is always room for improvement and even though I really liked this movie, it is not like I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
