Things I Bought at The Thrift Stores #1

Just like many other people, I like to shop, but most of the time I am not going to regular stores. I go to the thrift store. In the last couple of years, I decided to shop more fashion at thrift stores. Years ago I thought going to the thrift store was weird and disgusting, but I have changed my mind. Shopping at the thrift store is so much fun and you never know what you are going to find. I wrote a whole article about why I like thrift shopping so much. In the last couple of months, I went to different thrift stores in my area and these are the things I bought at the thrift stores.

For years, I have been saying I really want to buy a ukulele and learn how to play it. But I wasn’t sure if I wanted to pay the full price. But the other day, I went to the thrift store and there it was: this ukelele. It is still in very good condition, with not scratches or anything. Maybe someone bought this during the pandemic and never really used it. I am so happy with it! Like I said, you never know what you are going to find at the thrift store. Sometimes you hit the jackpot and other times everything is just junk.

I am not sure why, but this year I am going old school with a lot of things. I am reading more books than I used to when I was younger. I am spending more time offline, meaning sometimes I don’t want to use my phone or laptop to play some music. So I bought a CD player on Amazon and I decided to start buying and using CDs again. I found these at different places, but all of them were 1 euro or less each.

I am going to be honest. It was not easy to find CDs I liked. Most of the CDs at the thrift store were typical Dutch music, and I don’t like that kind of stuff. But I am happy with the couple of CDs I found especially the Destiny’s Child one.

It was my birthday two months ago and I got a plant (a beautiful monstera) for my birthday. But now I also had to find a pot for my plant. I love garden centers so I also knew that a pot this big (23cm) wasn’t going to be cheap at the garden center, so I got the idea to look for one at the thrift store. I was lucky to find this one for only 2 euros and it was still brand-new because original the price tag was still attached.
