Review

You know when you are reading a great book when you can put it down. You tell yourself that you just want to read one more chapter but instead of reading one chapter, you want to read the whole book. That is how I felt while I was reading this book. The only problem was that I actually had to put the book down because I also needed to sleep.

The book starts when Pippa and everyone else are still very young. Pippa is still in high school, but she has had planned her whole future already. She is going to run the farm with her boyfriend Alex and they will live the perfect life. But after many years, Alex ruins everything by making important and huge decisions without consulting her. He immediately thought that she would be okay with everything and that she would follow him. But instead, they break up. To be honest, I did not like Alex from the start. He basically took all of the credit for everything and Pippa was also basically taking care of Alex’s father.

This story was pretty cute. It made me cry, giggle and sigh. Those moments between Wolfie and Pippa were amazing. The chemistry between the two was just incredible and I just developed a crush on Wolfie. Yes, sure you need to earn his trust first but when he opened up to Pippa was incredible. At the same time, he was a gentleman.

The story takes place in a small town. I come from a very small town, so I know what it is like with the gossip and all. There are pros and cons to living in a small town, but the author made it sound like it was heaven on earth. Mentally, I was already packing my suitcase, ready to move to a small town somewhere in the UK.

And I wasn’t lying when I said I couldn’t stop reading it. The story was so addictive. It was a beautiful love story. And honestly, I am not sure what else to write about. I just loved this book. Of course, I want to read her other books as well. Her other book ‘The Reunion’, an enemies-to-lovers story, is now high on my wishlist. And I hope it won’t disappoint me.

For now, I can just recommend this book. May was a pretty great reading month, I read 4 books in total. But the first book I read in June is actually one of the best books I’ve read in the last couple of weeks.
